Bishop Dr. Kimberly Edwards Russell was born in Alexandria, Virginia, and grew up in Woodbridge. 

She accepted Jesus Christ as her Lord & Savior at a young age. She was a dedicated member at Star of Bethlehem Missionary Baptist Church for over 18 years under the late Pastor Dr. Frederick S. Jones. In 1996, she served in ministry under the leadership of Pastor Anthony K. Edwards at the Christian House of Prayer. She was later married and ventured out alongside her husband to establish the Word of Power Ministries. 

First Lady/Pastor Kimberly has long been on the battlefield for the Lord. She was licensed in 2005, then she was licensed & ordained on June 13, 2009, in Word of Power Ministries. Mentored by great men in the faith, the late world-known evangelist Morris Cerullo by impartation placed the Elijah mantle on Pastor Kimberly. Healings began to manifest through prayer. Pastor Benny Hinn during a private meeting prophesied her ministry to the Nations and sparked a fire to continue preaching after her unexpected and most unfortunate divorce. 

By the leading of the Holy Spirit, Pastor Kimberly founded and established Kimberly Kindred Ministries “Word of Power Hour” in February 2011. As the Lord touched and healed many during these services by September 2014, she added the “Healing & Deliverance service”. She is known as a “Holy Ghost fire extinguisher”. 

In April 2021, she received her certificate of Consecration into the office of Bishop in the Covenant Global Consortium. In March 2022, she co-founded Glory Seekers International Movement & was named the 2nd International Presiding Bishop. In September 2022, she received her Honorary Doctorate Degree from Breakthrough Bible College & Theological Seminary. Apostle Anthony T. Mays, the President and Founder of the Breakthrough Bible College and Theological Seminary, presented her with the Presidential award. Also in September 2022, Bishop Dr. Kimberly founded For His Glory Ministries Worldwide. Bishop Dr. Raymond Horton III & Reverend Claudette Williams are acknowledged as the spiritual parents of this organization.

Bishop Dr. Kimberly retired after 27 years with the Federal Bureau of Investigation. She is an entrepreneur and a devoted leader. She has a passion for teaching bible study, feeding & witnessing to the homeless & senior living facilities. She is humble, remains teachable, & she lives a life pleasing to God, and loves God’s people
